- For the outdoor action seeker — If being active in the great outdoors is your thing, you won’t want to miss the many beautiful nature trails near Woburn. Middlesex Falls Reservation offers hiking and biking trails, an off-leash dog area, and an opportunity to canoe, kayak, or fish on Spot Pond. Horn Pond Trail is another must-visit spot to find your inner “zen” in the great outdoors.
- For the winter sports junkie — Woburn is within 30 miles of Nashoba Valley Ski Area. If you prefer cross-country skiing, check out Great Brook Ski Touring Center. Drive a bit farther to some of the best ski areas in New England, including Wachusett Mountain (about 50 miles from Woburn) and Pats Peak (about 75 miles away). A quick 2 + hour drive gets you to Stowe, Sugarbush and Mad River Glen, in Vermont and North Conway, NH for bigger-mountain skiing.
